RAD 2014 and SEERAS have finished
Dear colleagues, Dear friends,
the Second International Conference on Radiation and Dosimetry in Various Fields of Research (RAD 2014) and the Second East European Radon Symposium (SEERAS) have finished. Although we did our best to organize these two events in the best possible manner, we are aware that there appeared some problems and mistakes. We are very thankful to all people who pointed out these issues, and that will help us in the organization of the next conference. Therefore, we will try to work even harder next time to make the third conference the best one yet.
We would like to thank to all the participants for coming to Niš, for having interesting presentations, for being a part of our numerous social events, for being positive and patient and in a good mood. We hope that you have taken good memories home and that you will gladly remember these events, as well as that you will also participate in the next conference(s).
We are very happy with the number of participants and the number of countries they came from. We are very proud with the quality of the presentations and full papers we received. Having in mind that this is only the second conference, it is amazing that there were about 500 received abstracts and about 300 participants from almost 50 countries. All this gives us a large motive and an obligation for the organization of the next conference.
We are currently working on the nominations for the best paper awards and they will be announced on the website until the end of this week, whereas the final decision on the winners will be announced by the end of June. In addition, we will update the website very soon with some oral presentations and photos.

The Conference and Symposium will be held
Dear friends and colleagues,
The people of Serbia experienced the worst flood ever. The material damage is very large and, unfortunately, some human lives have been lost. However, flood problems are restricted to several areas in the Western and Central part of Serbia (Obrenovac, Šabac, Paraćin, Svilajinac). Fortunately, the peak of the flood wave has already passed and, according to the forecast, the river flows are and will be decreasing. The Belgrade Airport, which is far from the Sava River, has been normally functioning and all the flights have been going on according to the schedule (you may see the flights on www.beg.aero). The Belgrade-Niš highway has also been normally functioning and it is not threatened by the floods. The situation in Niš is normal since Niš and the entire South and East Serbia has not had any problems with floods. The weather forecast is nice and almost summer weather is expected before and during the event http://www.hidmet.gov.rs/eng/prognoza/stanica.php?mp_id=13388 & http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/SRXX0027 & http://www.b92.net/vreme/?action=details&id=5. Based on the abovementioned, the Conference and Symposium will be held as planned.
We are looking forward to see you soon in Niš.

The posters should be prepared by the usage of sufficiently large fonts for the text and equations. The illustrations should also be clearly visible.
The posters should be placed at appropriate boards at least 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the session. The presenters should stay nearby their posters throughout the session, and remove the posters after the session is finished.
Session chairpersons will arrive 15 minutes before the beginning of the session, check if all the posters are placed properly, check the presence of the presenting authors, and overlook the course of the entire session.
Please contact the Conference Secretariat (E-mail: rad2014@elfak.rs) if you need any additional information or have some specific request.
